Tackling Antimicrobial Resistance in the Poultry Sector via Improved Husbandry Practices and Prudent Antimicrobial Use, A MOHIP Webinar held on July 7, 2026. The webinar is hosted by Dr. Chea Bunna, researcher and lecturer at the Royal University of Agriculture (RUA), Cambodia

Join the MSU Global Health Institute (GHI) for the next webinar in our Mekong One Health Innovation Program (MOHIP) research series. This webinar will be hosted by Dr. Chea Bunna, researcher and lecturer in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Royal University of Agriculture (RUA), Cambodia.

Dr. Bunna serves as a liaison for the Cambodia One Health University Network (CAMBOHUN). His research and professional interests focus on food safety, antimicrobial resistance, zoonotic diseases, animal health, and public health. Dr. Bunna has extensive experience in research, teaching, and capacity building, and has contributed to numerous national and international projects related to livestock health, prudent antimicrobial use, and One Health.

This webinar will dive into the research Dr. Bunna and his team have been conducting on antimicrobial resistance (AMR), a global challenge threatening human, animal and environmental, and ecosystem health. Specifically, Dr. Bunna will discuss the use of improved husbandry practices and prudent use of antimicrobials in poultry to address AMR in Cambodia’s poultry sector through improved or good husbandry practices and promoting responsible antibiotic use. Through targeted interventions, the project aims to reduce antimicrobial use (AMU) by 20% in broiler production.

The webinar will be held on Zoom at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time/8:00 p.m. Indochina Time on July 7, 2026.
