Join the MSU Global Health Institute for a Mekong One Health Innovation Program (MOHIP) guest lecture led by Dr. Cheryl Stroud, Executive Director of the One Health Commission. 

Drawing on her years of experience in private veterinary medicine, academic health research, and industry leadership, Dr. Stroud will discuss why and how strategic, multi-sector collaboration is transforming the One Health framework into a frontline instrument for global health security. 

About the Speaker

Dr. Cheryl M. Stroud is the Executive Director of the One Health Commission. A veterinarian with a Ph.D. in Endocrine Physiology, she brings diverse experience spanning private veterinary practice, academic research, industry, and multi-sector public health advocacy. Dr. Stroud spearheaded the creation of the North Carolina Global One Health Academy and has led the One Health Commission since 2013, driving global initiatives such as the annual International One Health Day. She is a passionate global advocate for breaking down disciplinary silos and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration across academia, government, nonprofits, and policy to address pressing threats at the human-animal-environmental interface.
